  My friend and I were really craving for sushi and came across this place, so we decided to get their bento boxes. They usually have deals for their bento boxes at a certain time on weekdays, however, we came a little late. We both ordered bento boxes and they included six pieces of sushi, and we were able to substitute getting all salmon sushi instead of the original combination for an extra dollar. The bento box also included glass noodles, and shrimp and vegetable tempura, as well as salad and miso soup. Service was nice and friendly, with reasonably priced bento boxes. Will most likely come back, hopefully during their lunch special hours to take advantage of their bento box deals!

  I'm pretty disappointed at this place to be really honest.
  I ordered a chicken ramen here and never expected it came to be straight from fast noodles package. It totally looks like fast noodles and tastes like fast noodles. The chef just tossed a few pieces of chicken, onion, mushroom and bean sprout in the soup. Plus a small salad, which is quite common in Japanese/Korean restaurant, that's all I got for $8.95.
  I then asked the waitress there if that's fast noodles and she said yes.
  Just be aware, the ramen here is fast noodles. You can buy it from Walmart for about a dollar a bag.

  I got take out from here when they first opened but I really haven't been since then. So I decided to check it out by having some late lunch there today.
  
  It has a small dining area but the tables are well spaced so you don't feel too cramped. It's clean and tidy inside. Their menu has a good selection of sushi and Korean entree's. Unfortunately, they don't have any lunch specials. We ended up ordering agedashi tofu, spicy salmon roll, spider roll, green dragon roll, and an aburi salmon roll.
  We also ended up getting complimentary congee and miso soup to start with as well.
  
  My congee actually had a slightly burnt taste. Our other congee didn't. It wasn't too bad. Very thick and it had cut up carrots and egg in it. I would've preferred a different typical free Korean app but meh, free is free lol
  
  The agedashi tofu was pretty tasty. It was well battered and nice n' hot. The spicy salmon roll was fresh and had a good spicy flavour. The green dragon roll and spider roll were decent. The tempura shrimp and crab from the rolls were well fried. The aburi salmon roll was okay. It didn't have that creamy and savoury deliciousness I expect from aburi. It did come with a nice kick from the spicy mayo they slather on with a jalapeño on top.
  
  The food came out pretty quickly and the service was friendly and polite. Overall, it was a good meal, it's pretty similar to what you can get at other places but more expensive. I would go back but it's not a place I would crave.

  It's good sushi. However, I have zero tolerance when sushi establishments try to half fast the customer and culture. This is an a la cartel place, it's not an all you can eat restaurant and regardless if it is, it's not fair. I preferred this place over NIJI because of value, but when you do this?
  
  Also... The congee is not nearly as good as the one served at NIJI too.
  
  No thanks.

  Summary: Unique sushi offerings satisfy the non-seafood eaters, complimentary apps, solid Bento boxes, great service, fair pricing make this Korean/Japanese cuisine offering a fun visit
  
  What we got: beef bulgogi roll, chicken teriyaki roll, Bento box D
  What we'd get next: beef bulgogi roll for sure... And, there's so much to try I DON'T KNOW
  
  This restaurant is in the corner of the southeast plaza of Midland and Ellesmere, and it's a little different from all the others. Same great service as many other sushi places, but this has some of the best variety (especially for its size) in the vicinity.
  
  It's all in the name: ROLL represents sushi rolls, and BOWL represents Korean style rice bowls. Excellent play on words and excellent choice for those who can't pick between an evening out for either cuisine. The combo ends up yielding a fun experience, including some mixed complimentary appetizers (KOREAN CONGEE, JAPANESE MISO SOUP PLUS SALAD).
  
  Basically, they've taken elements of both cuisines and implemented them well. Now, the dishes we ordered...
  
  BEEF BULGOGI ROLL
  Okay okay some people think it's a gimmick, but if you couldn't eat seafood and you wanted meat in your rolls, you were pretty much out of luck UNTIL THIS GENIUS IDEA HIT THE MENU! They were VERY generous with the portions of beef that they crammed into the seaweed. Great choice.
  
  CHICKEN TERIYAKI ROLL
  You can taste the teriyaki sauce and the chicken, but bulgogi beef was definitely the star. This is somewhat more unique.
  
  BENTO BOX D
  Alright, this isn't that unique an offering, but holy smokes the Salmon Sashimi is THICK, not the cheap flimsy pieces you get elsewhere. You could definitely juggle a few pieces in the air and they wouldn't float away.
  
  All in all, it's a fun place to try. There are true specialty stores that may do their dishes a bit better, but the overall quality here is solid (even if you were only into one of the cuisines offered).
  
  Finish with slice of orange and candy, and bam, there's a 4.5 star experience.
